Black Label Trading Company is a boutique brand from Nicaragua founded in 2013 by James and Angela Brown, and has become one of the most recognized brands in the world of dark, powerful, and artistic cigars in the modern boutique industry. Produced at the Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua, the brand focuses on small, meticulous production with an emphasis on unique blends, power, complexity, and a very distinct identity. Black Label is associated with a darker, rawer, richer style, making extensive use of Nicaraguan, San Andres, Broadleaf, and Banano tobaccos, along with deep profiles of earth, black pepper, espresso, cocoa, leather, and toasted wood.

Royalty - ROYALTY

ROYALTY is a cigar that presents a more elegant and refined side of the brand, while maintaining the depth and character associated with Black Label. The blend is based on an Ecuadorian Corujo wrapper, a binder from Honduras and a filler from Nicaragua, and offers a balanced profile with a combination of richness, spices and natural sweetness. The flavors range from roasted coffee, cocoa, cinnamon, leather and cedar wood, alongside a subtle pepper and sweetness that appears throughout the smoke and gives the cigar a smoother and more harmonious character compared to the brand's heavier series. The smoke is thick and pleasant, the construction is very meticulous, and the cigar develops in an elegant and complex way with a gradual transition between woody, sweet and spicy notes. The 6×50 Toro is currently available. It will be available in additional sizes in the future.

Porcelain - PORCELAIN

PORCELAIN is one of the brand's more elegant and complex blends, created around a light Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper that gives the cigar a particularly creamy, aromatic and balanced character. The blend combines binder and filler from Nicaragua and Honduras, creating a rich yet refined profile with precise and harmonious layers of flavor. The flavors range from cream, roasted nuts, cedar, white pepper and dried spices, alongside a subtle natural sweetness that accompanies the smoke throughout. Despite the light and elegant appearance, the cigar maintains depth and complexity with thick smoke, a smooth texture and gradual and precise development. Israel currently receives one Vitola - Toro 6×50. More capacities will arrive in the future.

SALVATION

SALVATION is one of the brand's more balanced and aromatic blends, based on an Ecuadorian San Gruon Habano wrapper, a Honduran binder and a Nicaraguan filler. The cigar displays a combination of natural sweetness, spice and earthy depth, while maintaining a rich but relatively accessible character for the style associated with Black Label. The profile ranges from chocolate, roasted coffee, cedar, red pepper, molasses and earth, alongside touches of nuts and dried spices that develop throughout the smoke. Lawless

LAWLESS is a dark, rich and powerful cigar based on a San Andres Maduro wrapper, an Ecuadorian Habano binder and a Nicaraguan filler. LAST RITES

LAST RITES is one of the brand's most recognizable and heavy blends, based on a Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro wrapper, a Honduran binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. The cigar is built around a dark, deep, and exceptionally rich profile, with a full body and thick, oily smoke. The flavors range from espresso, dark chocolate, wet earth, black pepper, leather, and charred wood, alongside a dark sweetness that appears throughout the smoke and balances the high intensity of the blend. Santa Muerte - SANTA MUERTE

SANTA MUERTE was first launched in 2017, inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead and as a tribute to the people who have influenced the brand’s path and work. Made in Esteli, Nicaragua, the cigar combines a wrapper and binder imported from Ecuador with a filler blend consisting of six types of tobacco originating from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and the San Andres region of Mexico. The combination of the different tobacco sources creates a rich and multi-layered profile, with notes of coffee, malt, cocoa and spices. It is a full-bodied blend, with depth and presence, showcasing the dark and creative style of Black Label. The cigar comes in only one vitola – a Corona Gorda in size 5½×48.

In Rio Santo - Barrio Santo

Barrio Santo was launched in 2019 as a special edition of Santa Muerte, created in limited quantities for select Black Label events. The main change to the blend is the replacement of the habanero wrapper with an Ecuadorian Maduro wrapper, while the binder remains Ecuadorian habanero and the filler is a blend of tobaccos from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and San Andres, Mexico. The Maduro wrapper gives the blend a darker and richer character, with notes of cocoa, roasted coffee, earth and deep sweetness, alongside a subtle pepper. It is a medium to full-bodied cigar, with a concentrated and rich profile. Barrio Santo comes in just one vitola – 5½×48 – and was originally intended exclusively for the brand’s events and in limited quantities.

Super Deluxe - SUPER DELUXE

SUPER DELUXE is a limited edition blend first created in 2020 and reintroduced due to extremely high demand from the brand’s smokers. The cigar is based on a San Andres Maduro wrapper from Mexico, an Ecuadorian habanero binder and a Nicaraguan filler, and presents a dark, rich and extremely complex profile. The flavors range from cocoa, earth, toasted wood, black pepper and baking spices, alongside notes of dark fruit, anise and a deep sweetness that appears throughout the smoke. The smoke is thick and oily, and the cigar gradually develops with a depth and complexity that are very characteristic of the Black Label style. Made from a single 4×48 Petit Robusto ½ vitola.

Coffin Nails - COFFIN NAILS

COFFIN NAILS is a blend created around the concept of a “big cigar in a small package” — a compact cigar with a rich and powerful character that manages to provide the depth and complexity of larger cigars. The blend is based on an Ecuadorian habanero wrapper, a Honduran binder, and a filler from Honduras and Nicaragua. The profile is rich in flavors of earth, dark chocolate, espresso, dark fruits, wood, and spices, along with a natural sweetness that balances the strength of the cigar. The smoke is thick and oily, and the precise construction allows for an intense, complex, and relatively short smoking experience. Made from one Torpedo 5×40 vitola

Orthodox - ORTHODOX

ORTHODOX is one of the oldest and most recognized blends of Black Label, showcasing the brand’s classic style: a balance of power, complexity and elegance. Built around Nicaraguan and Honduran tobacco, the blend offers a rich profile with layers of roasted coffee, cocoa, earth, cedar, black pepper and a subtle natural sweetness. The smoke is thick and full, the texture is rich, and the cigar develops gradually with a transition between dark, woody and earthy notes, while maintaining balance and harmony throughout the smoke. The Petit Lancero 6½×42 Vitola is produced exclusively for Israel and is not marketed in other markets.
