Oveja Negra Brands is a group of boutique brands from Nicaragua that was founded around a factory near Esteli, Nicaragua, under the leadership of James and Angela Brown. The company has become one of the manufacturers most identified with the world of artisanal and more aggressive cigars in recent years, with an emphasis on dark, complex blends with a unique character. Under Oveja Negra are brands such as Black Label Trading Company, Black Works Studio, Emilio and Dissident, with all cigars being handmade at the company's factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. The brand is identified with a very gothic and artistic style, the use of unconventional blends, and work that is aimed at the more modern and boutique world of cigars.
