San Cristobal – The Soft and Aromatic Side of Havana San Cristobal de La Habana is a brand born in 1999 as a tribute to the capital of Cuba - Havana, and offers cigars with a light-medium body, smooth smoke, and a rich yet refined flavor profile - ideal for those who prefer a soft cigar with a classic Cuban presence. Our vitolas: El Principe – 110×42 | A short, pleasant and round cigar in flavors - notes of caramel, soft wood and a gentle roast. La Fuerza – 141×50 | A long Robusto with a light-medium body, smooth smoke and flavors of honey, delicate spice and roasted wood. San Cristóbal was the original name of the city of Havana, given to it by the Spanish when they founded it in the 16th century. San Cristóbal – named after the city’s patron saint (Saint Christopher) La Habana – taken from the name of an indigenous tribe that lived in the area (the Taino). So when Habanos launched the San Cristobal de La Habana brand in 1999, they were essentially paying historical homage to the city’s roots – both in the name, the box design and the refined nature of the cigars.
